Finding Nemo

Marlin, who lives on the coral reefs of Australia, is the overprotective parent of an anemone fish named Nemo. One day, Nemo shows that he no longer wants to appear in the eyes of others that he needs protection and starts swimming towards the open sea, where he meets a fishing boat and gets caught, ending up in a dentist’s aquarium.

At the same time that Nemo tries to return home by his own means, Marlin and his memory-impaired friend Dori start a rescue mission for Nemo.

The film was awarded the Oscar for best-animated film.

Lightyear

Buzz Lightyear is a very traditional hero character who thinks that things are best done when you do everything yourself. In his role as a space hero, he is used to taking action and protecting others at any cost.

As the story progresses, Buzz learns that everyone makes mistakes sometimes and the biggest demands on yourself don’t necessarily come from others. The teaching of science adventure is related to the cooperation of different friendships, receiving help, and flexibility. The end result can be good, even if everything doesn’t go exactly according to the original plan.

The film contains a lot of action as well as threatening and emotional scenes. The finiteness of life is also discussed. The heroes fight against aliens and quite scary robots with laser guns and explosives. Of course, there is humor that lightens the atmosphere and likable characters, but the use of age flexibility should be considered for the very youngest audiences who are not used to action films.

Encanto

The extraordinary Madrigal family lives hidden in the mountains of Colombia, in a wonderful enchanted place called Encanto. Encanto has blessed each child in the family with a unique special gift, from super strength to the ability to heal. Of each, except one: Mirabella. But when she learns that the magic surrounding Encanto is in danger, Mirabel decides that she—the only ordinary Madrigal—may be the extraordinary family’s only hope.

Directed by Jared Bush, Byron Howard, and Charise Castro Smith. The film was awarded the Oscar for a best animated film.

Jungle Cruise

A Christmas Carol

Ebenezer Scrooge only cares about money and despises his loved ones. Scrooge especially hates Christmas. As the ghosts of Christmases past, present and future warn him against continuing his current selfish life, Scrooge must decide whether to change his life or live in solitude surrounded by his hatred.

This is the film version of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Story (1843), which premiered in 2009. The film was directed by Robert Zemeckis, and Jim Carrey plays a six-part role as Ebenezer Scrooge, both young, middle-aged and old, in addition to Carrey playing three spirits that haunt Scrooge.

Luca

Set in a beautiful seaside town on the Italian Riviera, Disney and Pixar’s original film “Luca” is the story of a young boy coming of age with ice cream, pasta and scooter rides during one unforgettable summer. Luca goes on adventures together with his friend Alberto, but all the fun is threatened by a deep secret: they are sea monsters from another, undersea world. The film was directed by Enrico Casarosa.

Cruella

Set in 70s London, in the middle of the punk rock revolution, Cruella follows a young con artist named Estella, who is both witty and creative – and determined to become a big name in the fashion world. He makes friends with young thieves who appreciate Estella’s lack of control and together they manage to build a life for themselves on the streets of London. One day, Estella’s sense of fashion catches the attention of Baroness von Hellman.

The Baroness is a fashion legend who is both extravagantly chic and deadly cool. Their encounter brings out revelations and sets in motion a chain of events, which result in Estella unleashing her diabolical side and hatching into the flamboyant, fashionable and vengeful Cruella.
