Erityiset on koskettava draama, jossa huumori ja lämpö kietoutuvat yhteen. Elokuvassa seurataan kahta miestä, Brunoa (Vincent Cassel) ja Malikia (Reda Kateb), jotka tekevät väsymättömästi töitä vaikeasti autististen ihmisten ja haastavista oloista tulevien nuorten parissa. Heidän työnsä on ainutlaatuista ja elintärkeää, sillä heidän hoivattavansa ovat ihmisiä, joita muut eivät tunnu ymmärtävän. Elokuva perustuu tositarinaan ja nostaa esiin ystävyyden merkityksen. Rocketman

Rocketman tells the inspiring story of Elton John’s breakthrough years, when shy piano virtuoso Reginald Dwight becomes an international superstar. The film depicts Sir Elton John’s stages from childhood to the beginning of the 90s. Genius child developed into a music superstar, whose life was overshadowed by difficult relationships with his parents, low self-esteem, uncertainty about his own sexuality, various addictions and bulimia. The brutality of the music industry and the difficulty of loving also come to the fore in relation to the manager boyfriend.

Kapernaum (Capharnaüm)

The kind cleaner Rahil offers her a home and Zain helps by looking after her young son Yona. But when Rahil unexpectedly disappears, Zain must muster all his strength, courage and ingenuity to take care of himself and Yonas. How long can they survive in a world where there is only a fading spark of hope left? The film was directed by Nadine Labaki. In roles e.g. Zain Al Rafeea and Yordanos Shiferaw.

Van Gogh – At Eternity’s Gate

Van Gogh – At Eternity’s Gate is the story of an extraordinary talent who defied the norms of his time. It focuses on the artist’s last years and the productive period he spent in Arles, France. The journey to the beautiful light and colors of the south was tinged by a stormy friendship with Paul Gaugain (Oscar Isaak) – and van Gogh’s own mental breakdown. Ignoring doubters and scoffers, working in modest circumstances, Van Gogh created some of the world’s most beloved works of art. His most important supporter was his younger brother Theo (Rupert Friend), who saw Vincent as an interpreter for future generations. Other roles include e.g. Mads Mikkelsen, Emmanuelle Seigner and Mathieu Amalric. Anna Karenina

Based on Leo Tolstoy’s unforgettable classic, the film brings the greatest love novel in world literature to the big screen. Anna Karenina’s (Keira Knightley) marriage to high-ranking St. Petersburg official Alexei Karenin (Jude Law) is shaken when Anna meets Count Vronsky (Aaron Taylor-Johnson). The lovers surrender to the whirlwinds of passion, but their happiness soon turns into a tragedy. The story is also a description of tsarist Russia in the 1870s and the state society, which shackles the participants of the triangle drama in its framework. The film was directed by Joe Wright.

Mary Magdalene

Soon she finds his place in the movement and her role on the journey that leads towards Jerusalem. Based on a screenplay by Helen Edmundson and Philippa Goslett, the film also stars Chiwetel Ejiofor and Tahar Rahim. The film was directed by Garth Davis.

Billy Elliot
