Mediametka ry organizes events, trainings, seminars, and workshops, and produces high-quality and accessible materials related to them. Mediametka develops high-quality media education work in various projects and promotes the audiovisual culture of all ages in Finland and abroad. The projects expand Mediametka’s and the organization’s partners’ media education activities and movie culture work.

IhmeFilmi - Trailblazer in movie education

IhmeFilmi ry is a movie education association that offers movie screenings, workshops, and lectures to schools, educational institutions, and other organizations. The association serves as the national coordinator for the pan-European CinEd (Cinema Education) movie education project. The project, which started in 2016, includes 16 partners from 13 European countries. At the core of IhmeFilmi’s activities is strong expertise and extensive international networks. The association organizes tailored movie education training for teachers, library staff, and others working with young people. The goal is to promote children’s and young people’s knowledge of movie culture, strengthen media literacy, and develop creativity through multidisciplinary activities, as well as to enhance the role of movies as part of comprehensive learning in schools.
