After the war, Finnish entertainment legends Tapio Rautavaara and Reino Helismaa live the life of touring entertainers, where glamour is distant but a bottle is close. Esa Pakarinen also joins their company. A rift between Rautavaara and Helismaa overshadows the men’s lives, almost until the latter’s death. This film depicting the music scene of the 40s and 50s is an important subject. In Koivusalo’s style, however, it’s more of a collection of stories than a cohesive drama.

Frankenweenie

“Frankenweenie” is a stop-motion animated film released in 2012, directed by Tim Burton. The film is in black and white and is based on Burton’s short film of the same name from 1984.

The story revolves around a young Victor Frankenstein, a young and talented prodigy scientist, who lives in the dreamlike town of New Holland. Victor’s only friend is his beloved dog, Sparky, and they share a very close bond.

Avatar: The Way of Water

Ten years have passed since Jake Sully joined the Na’vi clan on the planet Pandora. Now, Jake must join forces with Neytiri and the Na’vi army to protect their home planet.

The film was awarded an Oscar for its outstanding visual effects. The movie utilized motion-capture technology, followed by computer-generated animation.
