Judy

2019 | 118 min | K-12 | -

In the winter of 1968, legendary singer and actress Judy Garland arrives in London to perform a series of sold-out concerts over five weeks. Her rise to stardom began 30 years earlier with her iconic role in The Wizard of Oz. While her voice may have changed over the years, its emotional power has only grown. The film Judy portrays Garland as she prepares for her performances, navigates tensions with her manager, experiences a passionate romance with Mickey Deans—soon to become her fifth husband—and reflects on the joys and struggles of her life. Starring Renée Zellweger, the movie captures Garland’s unique charisma, longing for love, and the timeless magic of her legacy. Directed by Rupert Goold, the cast also features Jessie Buckley and Finn Wittrock.
