Pelle Hermanni

Once written by Simo Ojanen, the hearty character Pelle Hermanni had adventures in TV channel show called “Ylen Pikku Kakkonen” from 1978-1988. The big favorite character of several generations now enters the 2020s with the movie in his big clown shoes, ready to conquer new arenas.

Pelle Hermanni goes in search of his father, whom he hasn’t seen since he left to measure the Earth with his feet. Magician Max’s son, ten-year-old Roni, sneaks behind. Here begins an exhilarating adventure full of magic, crazy twists, and colorful circus life, a film for children of the new generation and adults hungry for nostalgia.

Extinct

Op and Ed are Flummels, animals from ancient times, which belong to Mother Nature’s strangest quirks: in appearance, they resemble donuts covered in fur. Accompanied by chance, the wild Op and the suspicious Ed go on a time travel from their home, the Galápagos Islands of 1835, to the present-day metropolis, Shanghai.

In the bustle of the concrete jungle, they hear the terrible news – shortly after their departure, the flummels have disappeared from the face of the earth and the entire species has become extinct! Op and Ed are now the last of their race, and they must find a way to save the Flummels from certain destruction. A new acquaintance, a dashing little dog Clarence, offers to help them. Iris

The year is 1890. Iris is eight years old and lives with her visual artist mother Ester in Stockholm. Iris’s father is dead. Iris has been waiting for a long time to be able to go to Paris with her mother, to the opening of this exhibition, but to her disappointment, she has to stay home. And when the babysitting plans don’t work out as expected, let’s rush Iris to Åland, a place Iris doesn’t know anything about, but where she finds out her roots and where she grows up to be a child she’s never had.

Iris, who has lived as an only child in the Stockholm milieu and has been in contact with artists’ circles, thus ends up in the Grand Duchy of Finland’s archipelago, where life is poor and uncomplicated. The clash of cultures is great and for the first time in her life, Iris has to create relationships with other children. Iris struggles to find her place in this new environment.
