For media educator
The film Tom of Finland is a beautiful and fascinating description of the journey of Finnish artist Touko Laaksonen (Pekka Strang) to international success. In the film, Touko returns home from the continuation of war to dark and moralistic Finland, where homosexuality is illegal. To amuse himself and his friends, he starts drawing muscular, free, uninhibited, and proud gay men. The drawings are dangerous in Finland, so Touko even hides them from her sister Kaija (Jessica Grabowsky), even though the siblings are very close.
