2022 | 125 min | K-12 | action, adventure, fantasy

The world needed a hero, it got Black Adam.

New Line Cinema brings the action adventure Black Adam starring Dwayne Johnson to the big screen. Nearly 5,000 years after being granted the powers of the ancient gods and imprisoned, Black Adam (Johnson) is freed from his earthly grave, ready to dish out justice to the modern world in his own style.

Jauem Collet-Serra (Jungle Cruise) directed the film based on a script based on the DC characters by Adam Sztykiel, Rory Haines and Sohrab Noshirvan. Black Adam was created by Billy Parker and C.C. Beck. (Source: Warner Bros. Finland)

The 5,000-year-old, super-strong warrior Teth Adam is resurrected as the fictional nation of Kahndaq struggles for its right to self-determination. Teth Adam - or in modern terms Black Adam - is neither a villain nor a hero at first, but mainly a machine of destruction. Adam, however, learns to investigate before giving up, when he is forced to join forces with the Justice Society, which strives to maintain peace but has varying degrees of success.
