Damaged is a crime drama and thriller film starring Samuel L. Jackson as Chicago detective Dan Lawson. A Quiet Place: Day One

Sam is a terminally ill poet living in a hospice, suffering from cancer, who has not yet accepted his fate. He is angry, rude, and mean to everyone at the facility. The hospice nurse persuades him to join a group outing to the theater in Manhattan, promising him a trip to Harlem to eat at his favorite pizzeria. Sam wants to die on his own terms, fulfilling his final wish without surrendering to the murderous extraterrestrial invaders.

The film achieved immense popularity and had a significant impact on the film industry and popular culture. It elevated the shark to a fearsome figure and created an iconic atmosphere that continues to inspire and terrify viewers today.

Killer Shark won three Oscars. Steven Spielberg won the Oscar for Best Director, Robert L. Hoyt and Roger Heman Jr. won the Oscar for Best Sound Recording, and John Williams won the Oscar for Best Original Score.
