Mamma mia!

Mamma Mia! is a cheerful and colorful musical comedy set on a beautiful Greek island. Jaws

Jaws is an iconic thriller film from 1975 directed by Steven Spielberg. The story takes place on Amity Island, a popular summer vacation spot, where brutal shark attacks begin to occur. Police Chief Martin Brody tries to protect the residents, but the city management wants to cover up the threat due to tourism. Together with marine biologist Matt Hooper and local shark resident Quint, they go on a shark hunting expedition to stop a great white shark.

The film combines suspense, horror and drama. Killer sharks feature memorable scenes such as shark attacks and scary moments in the water. The film achieved immense popularity and had a significant impact on the film industry and popular culture. It elevated the shark to a fearsome figure and created an iconic atmosphere that continues to inspire and terrify viewers today.

Killer Shark won three Oscars. Steven Spielberg won the Oscar for Best Director, Robert L. Hoyt and Roger Heman Jr. won the Oscar for Best Sound Recording, and John Williams won the Oscar for Best Original Score.

The Croods: A New Age

The Croods, the world’s first family, have survived numerous dangers and disasters throughout their history, such as prehistoric beasts. However, now they encounter something that will change their lives – another family.

The Croods need a new home, so the family sets out to find a safe place to live. After finding a sheltered paradise full of natural resources, they think their problems are solved. However, there is one but – another family already lives in the place, called Bettermans.

The Bettermans are slightly ahead of the Croods in evolution. They have a spectacular tree house, wonderful inventions, and abundant farms full of food. The families quickly become strained when they take the Croods to live with them.

When everything seems to be going wrong, a new threat throws both families out of their new homes and into an adventure. They have to accept each other’s differences, support each other and build a common future. (Source: Finnkino)

Missing

The new movie thriller Missing from the makers of Searching moves like a rollercoaster and raises questions about how well we know our loved ones. The story begins when June’s mother goes on vacation with her new boyfriend. Despite her mother’s prohibitions, June decides to throw a huge house party and when it’s time for her to pick her up from the airport, no one is there to meet her.

June’s mother has disappeared while on vacation in Colombia and she decides to start by her means to find out the answers despite the challenges of the bureaucracy. Although stuck thousands of miles away in Los Angeles, June uses the latest technological aids. June creatively uses everything she has available to try to find her mother before it’s too late.

June dives deeper into her search, but instead of finding answers, only more questions arise. Mother’s secrets are gradually revealed and June realizes that she never really knew her mother.

Kupla

Eveliina, 16 years old, happens to see her mother kissing another woman. Forrest Gump

Forrest Gump (Tom Hanks) is a good-hearted man who observes the world in his peculiar way. At the beginning of the film, he tells the vent guest his life story, because he wants to and doesn’t see anything strange about it.

Through chance, Forrest becomes involved in significant events in world history, such as the Vietnam War, Elvis, John Lennon, and President Nixon. Forrest’s differency is by no means an insurmountable obstacle. He owns a successful seafood company, is a war hero, and has visited the White House several times. Forrest is an affectionate individual; you could say that he just wants to bring as much good as possible into the world. But can he get the love of his life?

The film won a whopping six Oscars: Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Editing, and Best Special Effects.

The film tells about the different forms of love and what a person is willing to do for it. The story takes place in the landscapes of Finnish Lapland, Norwegian Lapland, and the Arctic Ocean. Is love something you consider first, or coincidence?

Toivo Vaarala is a photographer who meets Ansa on a photography trip and they fall in love. Ansa’s dangerous, threatening, and ex-husband Ismo, who has a history of murder, enters the picture, but for some reason he becomes friends with Toivo. Ansa and Ismo have two children together. The film also describes their challenging family relationships with their parents.

Where the Crawdads Sing

Kya Clark is an abandoned girl who grew up independently in the unsafe swamps of North Carolina in the 1950s. Because she grew up in dangerous and challenging circumstances, she learned to take care of herself.

Kya gets to know two of the village’s golden boys, and when one of them is found dead, Kya becomes a suspect because she had the most contact with the deceased. It doesn’t help that Kya has gained a reputation as a hermit in town. As the investigation progresses, the secrets of the swamp are in danger of being revealed.

The film is based on Delia Owens’ debut novel “Where the Crawdads Sing”, which has sold millions around the world.
