A Nordic half-Jewish photographer travels to a wintry Venice in search of the “other Leningrad” that the Nobel Prize-winning Russian poet Joseph Brodsky recognized in the city. The photographer’s burden is his Christian father, who acted as an informant against Jews during World War II in their homeland.
