Jazz-filled Whiplash can be of interest to those whose hobby runs at the competitive level or can lead to a profession. The film reflects on talent, diligence, and ambition, as well as the relationship between coach and student through dramatic twists and turns. The line between dedication and insanity seems to be fine. Whiplash can also be interpreted as reviving the geniuses of the Romantic era. The film uses a lot of coarse languages.
