A story from the wilderness, where conditions of survival challenge the rules of modern society, Wolf is a contemporary drama set in northern Scandinavia. Klemens (Peter Stormare) and Nejla (Robin Lundberg) own a small herd of reindeer. Klemens lives in tune with nature and according to the rhythm dictated by his work. His young nephew, Nejla admires him and wants to follow in his footsteps. But neither his mother nor society will allow that to happen. The herd is attacked and they react without regard for the law. Emil is a young boy who moves from the countryside to the city with his mother. At the same time, elsewhere, a pelican lands on a beach. It finds clothes and puts them on, thus beginning its life as a human. Right away, it hitches a ride to the city. It moves into the house next to Emil’s, unaware that the caretaker is allergic to birds… As Emil adjusts to his new life in the city, the pelican takes its first steps in life as a human. Being a big lover of music, the pelican lands a job at the Opera House. There, it falls in love with a lovely ballerina. One day, Emil meets the pelican and immediately notices that it’s a bird in human clothes. Emil and the pelican get to know each other and become best friends. The pelican’s origin is their shared big secret. Then, a pretty girl Elsa, Emil’s age, appears in the yard. At first, Emil is jealous of the pelican, but then Emil and Elsa become friends too. Emil teaches the pelican to read, thus the pelican learns more and more about being human. But just when they’re having the most fun, the caretaker starts to suspect that something’s going on. Are the new tenant’s habits too strange after all?

Mr. Heinämäki’s neighbor, the baker Kakelberg, is having a tough time because his house has started to haunt and his bakery business has been sabotaged. One evening, Arskan catches a mysterious prowler in the cellar of the baker’s house. Arskan and Mr. Heinämäki then start to solve the mystery of the baker’s house together.

The Call of the Wild

“Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows” is an action movie released in 2016, which continues the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series.

The plot revolves around four mutant turtles – Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello, and Raphael – who fight crime in New York City. The film begins as the Turtles have been anonymously fighting to save New York.

Soon, they encounter a new threat as the evil scientist Dr. Baxter Stockman teams up with the notorious Shredder. Shredder plans to create a device to release infamous and powerful Dimension X beings onto Earth.

The Turtles must join forces with their former enemy, reporter April O’Neil, and a new ally, Casey Jones, to stop Shredder’s plans. Their mission is to prevent Shredder and Dr. Stockman from bringing destruction to New York and the world.

The plot unfolds through themes of action, humor, and the brotherhood among the Turtles. “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows” offers an entertaining adventure for all Turtle fans.

Shrek

“Shrek” is an animated film released in 2001. It tells the story of a green, yet kind-hearted ogre named Shrek, who lives alone and unappreciated in a swamp. However, Shrek’s peace is disturbed when the expulsion of fairy tale creatures is ordered to his swamp by the ruler of Duloc, Lord Farquaad.

Shrek wants to regain his peace, so he strikes a deal with Farquaad: he agrees to rescue Princess Fiona, so that Farquaad can marry her and Shrek can get his swamp back. On the journey to save the princess, Shrek receives help from a donkey named Donkey, who accompanies him on his adventures.

When Shrek and Donkey arrive at Princess Fiona’s castle, they realize that Fiona is not quite an ordinary princess. Along the way, Shrek and Fiona grow closer, but Shrek soon faces the truth about Farquaad’s true intentions.

“Shrek” is an adventure filled with humor, romance, and twists related to the world of fairy tale creatures. It has become known for its memorable characters, clever dialogue, and unique storytelling.

“Shrek” won the Oscar for Best Animated Feature at the 2001 Academy Awards. This was the first time the award for Best Animated Feature was presented, and “Shrek” was the first film to be honored in this category.

The Prince of Egypt

The movie is based on the story of Moses from the Bible. It follows Moses’ life as he faces challenges and trials while trying to free the Hebrews from slavery under the rule of the Egyptian Pharaoh.

The story begins when young Moses is saved from Pharaoh’s decree and grows up as a prince in Pharaoh’s palace. However, he eventually learns the truth about his origins and sets out to lead the Hebrews to freedom and the promised land, despite facing conflict with the Pharaoh and enduring challenging trials in the wilderness.

Themes of religion, identity, the pursuit of freedom, and accepting fate are explored in the movie. Its stunning animation and impactful music make it visually and emotionally compelling. “The Prince of Egypt” has proven to be popular among both children and adults, continuing to have an impact for decades.

The film won an Oscar for Best Original Song for “When You Believe”.
