Based on the DC Comics comic book, the Academy Award-winning Suicide Squad takes a group of straightforward villains and, through a poignant backstory, gives them a multifaceted personality beyond just evil. The group ends up fighting on the side of the good against overwhelming evil, but you can't call this morally lax group outright heroes.
