Marvin Gable sells single-family homes in Milwaukee’s sleepy suburbs. One day, he receives a letter from Rose, a former criminal accomplice whom Marvin once left to die. Rose does not look back on the past with fondness. Marvin is dragged back into the world of hitmen he left behind, where backstabbing is a more common greeting than a handshake, and open house showings turn into deadly battlegrounds. Marvin’s brother, the hot-tempered crime boss Knuckles, is on his tail, and Marvin must face head-on the choices he made that still haunt him, as well as a past he has failed to bury.
